Candle Lab
1. The candle needed oxygen to burn.
2. When you placed the test tube on the candle, the candle went out because there was no oxygen for it to burn. The water rose higher because when the high pressure of the outside air met with the low pressure of the test tube, the pressure pushed up the water.
3. The temperature inside the test tube increased because the heat of the flame radiated.
4. The air pressure inside the test tube decreased because of the lack of oxygen.
