Part 1:
1. A topographic map is a map that displays elevation.
2. The numbers on the topographic map represent the height in different increments.
3. On a topographic map, you get a much better visual on the height and size of the mountain or elevation. On a regular map, you don't get to see the increments and you cannot as easily calculate your location.
Part 2:
1. The three types of lines are contour, township, and range lines.2. There are three stages in steam erosion. The youthful stage, where the stream is straight and narrow. A mature stage which consists of flat valley floors with some fonds and marshes. Lastly, old age occurs when the region has been eroded to such a flat surface it drains poorly.
3. The tow different types of glacial erosion are ice sheets and mountain glaciers.
-Ice sheets: Large slow moving chunks of ice that erode the rock beneath them and leave crack and crevices that eventually become lakes because of the poor draining. Causes irregular land shapes.
-Mountain glaciers: Found around valleys and tend to enlarge them by scooping out troughs as they move. leaves a shallow lake.
