More notes:
Runoff- Water from the land that flows into streams and rivers and goes into the ocean. Oil, gas, bottles, fertilizer ect. can be a big part what runs off into the ocean.
Dead zones: Toxic areas in the water caused by human pollution. Fish will die if they swim into the dead zone. Not much oxygen.
Waste Disposal: Cruise ships, factories, runoff, feces, plastics, and litter are all examples of waste disposal.
Artificial Reefs: Man made reefs such as boats, ships, and even shopping carts. Saves landfill space. Leads to the problem of overfishing. Helps reefs to sustain life more easily.
Climate Change: SO much CO2 in the air that heat is not releasing. Fossil fuels cause CO2 and we are cutting down forests. Globe is warming up.
Oil Spills: Most common cause of oil spills is when oil is being taken from the ocean floor and it leaks. Affects fish and oceanic animals. Also has effect on humans because it costs a lot of money to clean up.
